Mr. David W. Franklin, age 68 of Walnut Cove passed away on Sunday January 10, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Franklin was born on April 14, 1947 in Forsyth County to the late John and Gennie Franklin.

He was a self- employed carpenter who proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of the home; two sons James Franklin of Hamptonville and Dale Franklin of Walnut Cove; one daughter Tammy Perras and husband Donald of Walnut Cove; and three grandchildren Dakota, Dalton, and Makayla.

A funeral service for Mr. Franklin will be held on Wednesday January 13th, 2016 at 3pm at Huff Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Judes or Brenners Children’s Hospital.
