As a member of Enon Baptist Church I watched Charles grow up. I knew all his Smith relatives and most of the Petree ones too. Then in 1955 I began my teaching career and taught your mother (home economics, health and English ) and daddy ( English). They were "good, smart, kids" in their first year of high school at East Bend High. My memories of them are very pleasant ones. I enjoyed seeing them at reunions of the class of 1959, and I missed seeing Charles after the loss of your Mother. I hope that knowing how much he was loved by so many people will help you cope with your loss.
